A Detail Study on Energy Optimization Packet Forwarding Protocol for Mote Networks

In wireless sensor networks the management & control of packet forwarding among sensor nodes is a major issues. Wireless Sensor networks can be deployed in various applications namely environmental monitoring e.g. volcano detection, distributed control system, detection of radioactive sources, agricultural and farm practices, internet, military and surveillance. Since the WSN nodes battery energy is limited, the primary design goal is to optimize the amount of energy used for packet forwarding. The energy conservation techniques and algorithms in terms of routing protocols, power usage, data aggregation, scalability, query based, overhead, data delivery model & quality of service for computing the optimal transmitting & receiving ranges in order to generate a network with desired properties while reducing sensors energy consumption are discussed and compared.
